My client are a leading warehousing and distribution with sites across the UK, serving predominantly the UK FMCG market. With their turnover sitting around the 60m mark, they are primed for growth and hope to achieve the magic 100m number in the next couple of years through organic growth and acquisitions.
Having recently invested in a purpose built VMU, they are looking to recruit an experienced Parts Advisor to join their team on a 4on/4off shift pattern.
Role Responsibilties include, but are not limited to:
- Continuously maintain accurate inventory levels through accurate use of the parts management software application.
- Be responsible for the accurate receipt of all inward stock.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to achieve maximum availability at lowest inventory value.
- Support with managing external supplier relationships.
- To ensure the stores department runs efficiently.
- To provide the following physical functions:
- Goods Inwards and stock putaway
- Stock retrieval and picking
- Stock allocation to fitters/technicians
- Movement of stock within the store
- Perpetual inventory counts
- Assist with the annual stock take process to ensure that all stock is counted and all variances between system and physical counts are investigated fully.
- Assist with managing obsolescent stock management and minimise liability. Maximise impress stock opportunities,
- Ensure that POs are raised for all orders.
- Effective communications with all suppliers relating to queries of stock management.
- Ensure that all returns are completed in a timely manner, ensuring that stock levels are updated in a timely manner.
Ideally you will 2+ years experience in a similar Parts Advisor or Stores Controller role, and have a strong working knowledge or parts or stock control processes. A background in engineering or automotive/HGV parts would be ideal, but not essential.
