We are looking for a capable, proactive Site Manager with strong fit-out experience to lead a residential scheme at Woking/surrey, involving the fit-out of 4 units within an already occupied building of 55 units.
The successful candidate will manage all on-site activity, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and liaise effectively and respectfully with current residents to ensure a smooth and considerate delivery of the project. A hands-on approach is highly valued for this role, as well as proficiency in Field wire construction project management software.
Project Overview:
- 4 Units to be fitted out:
- 2 units are empty shells
- 2 units are at second fix stage
- Building is partially occupied (55 total units)
- Resident interaction and clear communication is key to the success of this project
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and trades
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality fit-outs
- Use Fieldwire to manage schedules, tasks, progress tracking, and documentation
- Act as the main on-site contact, maintaining good relationships with residents and resolving any site-related issues or concerns quickly and professionally
- Ensure works are completed to a high standard, safely, and within agreed timelines
- Maintain site cleanliness, order, and compliance with health & safety regulations
- Report to the project manager and provide regular updates
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience managing residential fit-out projects
- Strong communication skills, especially when liaising with residents in occupied buildings
- Proficiency with Fieldwire or similar project management tools
- A hands-on approach and willingness to assist with basic tasks on site if necessary
- Ability to manage multiple trades and keep works progressing smoothly
- Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
- Local to Woking/Surrey or surrounding area preferred
Desirable:
- Basic trade skills (not essential but a plus)
- First Aid & SMSTS or SSSTS certification
- CSCS card
