Field Service Engineer

A designer and manufacturer of complex electromechanical safety-critical products for industrial & environmental applications. They design & manufacture detection, and monitoring equipment products as both a fixed and portable system. They are currently on the lookout for a Field Service Engineer to look after the Bristol, Bath, Stroud, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, South Wales and other surrounding areas.

Remuneration is up to £45,000 with overtime!

Info about what the Field Service Engineer role entails:

Seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their expanding team nationwide. This regional role covers the Gloucestershire & other surrounding areas, reporting to the Field Service Engineering Manager.

In this role you will be attending customer sites to perform proactive maintenance, repairs & commissioning of their products.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Servicing, calibrating and repairing detection equipment to relevant standards
• Ensure all serviced products are fully operational, tested and have completed service paperwork
• Support other team members on jobs that require multiple engineers

Requirements of the Field Service Engineer:

• Must have experience in instrument/electronic equipment service, troubleshooting/repair, commissioning, and/or installation.
• HNC/HND in an electrical/electronic field or equivalent understanding gained from work experience.
• Full driving license
• Prior Field Service Engineering experience

Desirable requirements of the Field Service Engineer:

• Previous experience with fire alarm systems or similar electronic devices
• Preferably hold Confined Space, IPAF, and Safety Passport certifications, but training is provided.
