Vehicle Technician
Location: Southampton - Bitterne area
Salary: 32,000 - 36,000 basic + productivity bonus OTE 42,000
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 17:00
Friday: 08:30 - 17:00
1 in 4 Saturdays: 08:30 - 12:30 (paid as overtime)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership service centre in the Southampton area. You'll be working in a modern, well-equipped workshop where your expertise will be valued, and your development actively supported through continuous training and progression routes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high standards of vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs
Complete all work efficiently and in line with manufacturer and company expectations
Ensure all paperwork and job cards are accurate and compliant
Identify and recommend additional work as part of the company's Duty of Care responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service through high-quality workmanship
What We're Looking For
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
Current MOT Tester licence (preferred but not essential)
Previous experience in a workshop or dealership environment
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Full UK Driving Licence
A professional attitude with a strong team ethic
