Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-time only)

Salary: 105 - 120 per day

Veritas are working with an Alternative Provision for students who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. You'll be working with students aged 11-16 who suffer with behaviour issues and at risk of being excluded.

The role:

• Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, as directed by the teacher, to help them achieve their learning goals.
• Collaborate with other LSAs and teachers to share best practices and strategies for supporting student learning.
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student progress, interventions, and strategies.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Job Requirements:

• Experience working as a learning support assistant within a SEN secondary school.
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
• Experience with English, PSHE and Humanities subjects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A calm, patient, and resilient personality.
• A genuine passion to support children from challenged background with behavioural problems.
