SEN Teaching Assistant - Newham

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 am

Ongoing position

London borough of newham

97 - 120 per day

Social, emotional & cognitive support for students with various SEMH-related needs

Day to day as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Supporting student/students in developing their social, emotional and cognitive skills

Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO & wider community professionals (e.g. Educational Psychologist) to ensure students are on track

Supporting the team in creating a progressive & welcoming learning environment

Working with student/students in various year groups with learning disabilities (Autism, ADHD) as well as Mental Health needs

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

The ideal candidate for this SEN Teaching Assistant

Academic individual - holds a degree in a related field

Prior experience working with students (ideal but not essential)

Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Empathetic, pro-active & ambitious (must)
