Software Engineer

Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their defence client's team in Stevenage. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development of a cutting-edge C++ Engine, responsible for data processing, computer cluster management, and interfacing between various Matlab/Simulink models. The focus of this work is efficiency and run-time improvements of the simulations through the optimisation of GPU and CPU code.

Responsibilities

- Develop and optimise C/C++ and CUDA code to enhance the performance of the simulation engine
- Manage the efficient utilisation of GPU and CPU resources through optimisation techniques
- Implement robust memory management strategies to ensure optimal system performance
- Contribute to the development of technical reports and documentation
- Collaborate with the team to integrate the simulation engine with various Matlab/Simulink models

Clearance: Security Clearance - SC and UKEO (you MUST be a British citizen to apply)
Duration: 12 months
Pay rate: Umbrella 75 per hour
