Vertical Recruitment is working in partnership with a global engineering and technical consultancy to appoint a Quantity Surveyor and Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their UK-based Project Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-renowned consultancy, known for delivering high-impact advisory services to blue-chip clients across the infrastructure and engineering sectors.

The Role:
The successful candidate will join a specialist commercial and contract advisory team supporting clients and principal contractors on complex infrastructure and engineering programmes throughout the UK.
This is a hybrid role - typically three days on-site or at client offices and two days working from home. The consultancy provides commercial support from early procurement stages through to post-contract financial compliance and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare tender and contract documentation
Undertake cost analysis and feasibility assessments
Support procurement strategies and tender return evaluations
Provide guidance on contract forms (e.g., NEC3/4) and risk/value management
Advise clients on contractual claims and financial compliance
Produce detailed commercial reports and valuations
Support stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary project teams
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience for Intermediate QS roles and 5 years for QS level
Background in infrastructure, nuclear, oil & gas, or major engineering projects
Proven experience administering NEC contracts (NEC3 or NEC4 preferred)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with contract management platforms such as CEMAR (desirable)
Working toward RICS chartership is advantageous
