Polymer Scientist

We're working with an international manufacturer of speciality polymer materials who are looking for a talented formulations chemist to join their team and help ensure their products comply with international fire safety regulations. If you're looking to transfer your skill-set into a position where you can really make a difference helping people, this is the job for you.
What You'll Be Doing
The roles primary focus will be on researching new and maintaining current formulations and then ensuring all developed products comply with international fire safety regulations. This will involve not only being hands on with polymer formulations but also staying up to date with evolving regulatory standards and then devising tests and routines to guarantee product compliance.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Master's Degree or PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a formulations R&D laboratory with at least some focus on flame retardant products (Minimum 3 Years)
- An understanding of different testing procedures
- A desire to expand your knowledge of international fire safety regulations and product compliance
Desirable:
- Experience adjusting formulations to client specifications
- Previous experience with regulations and product compliance
