Job Title: Handyman (Multi Trade Operative)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Sector: Property Services
Location: London Borough of Ealing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Salary: 35,000.00 per annum

An established and reputable property maintenance contractor is currently seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman (Multi Trade Operative) to join their team, working on social housing contracts across the London Borough of Ealing. This role offers the opportunity to carry out a variety of reactive and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring safe and comfortable homes for residents.



Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a wide range of repairs and maintenance in both occupied and void properties, including but not limited to:

    • Basic plumbing (e.g. fixing leaks, replacing taps)

    • Carpentry tasks such as door adjustments, lock replacements, and kitchen repairs

    • Minor electrical work (e.g. replacing sockets or light fittings)

    • Bathroom fitting, tiling, decorating, and patch plastering

  • Diagnosing faults and resolving issues quickly and effectively

  • Using a PDA (handheld device) to receive jobs, log updates, and provide real-time feedback

  • Upholding strong standards of customer service, respecting tenants' homes and maintaining a professional appearance



Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)

  • Ability to pass a Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

  • Proven experience across multiple trades, ideally within social housing or public sector contracts

  • Good communication skills and a commitment to health and safety compliance
