Key Responsibilities Provide legal and regulatory advice on payments, e-money, and financial services across multiple jurisdictions. Support on licensing and regulatory legal matters, including liaising with regulators and external counsel. Advise on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development. Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business. Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on regulatory matters. Contribute to internal policies, training, and governance frameworks. Regular support on other legal work streams as needed, including corporate, commercial, and data protection. Among other responsibilities, this will include drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Your Story Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or EU equivalent) with 3-5 years PQE. Strong experience in financial regulation, ideally gained in a fintech, payments institution, or top-tier law firm. Deep understanding of key EU/UK financial services regulations. Experience working with regulators is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex legal issues into practical advice. Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment. A genuine interest in fintech, innovation, and the future of financial services.
