Injection Mould Setter

Impact Recruitment are currently working with a market-leading manufacturer who produce high-quality drain covers used across major infrastructure and construction projects.

As a growing and forward-thinking company, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Injection Mould Setter to join their weekend production team. This is a hands-on role, responsible for the setup and optimisation of injection moulding machines to ensure smooth and efficient production.

Injection Mould Setter - Weekend Shift
Location: Yaxley, Cambridgeshire
Salary: 18.12 per hour + 100 weekly shift allowance
Hours: Friday to Sunday, 06:00 - 18:00
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, and maintain injection moulding machinery for optimal performance
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to reduce downtime
• Perform tooling changes quickly and safely
• Calibrate master batch units in line with setting sheets
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and timing expectations
• Accurately record scrap quantities, downtime reasons, and other key data into the ERP system
• Work closely with the Supervisor and Production Manager to meet production requirements
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all company health & safety policies

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in injection moulding and machine setting
• Ability to carry out efficient tool changes and maintain optimal machine performance
• Experience using master batch calibration and setting sheets
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Confident communicator with the ability to work well with team members at all levels
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use ERP systems
• Organised and calm under pressure
• Good numeracy and written/spoken English skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
