Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom
Salary: £40,000 - £80,000

My client, a leading software company, is looking for three Java Developers to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, testable, and well-documented software.
• Collaborate closely with Technical Architects and Development Managers to translate functional and technical specifications into production-ready software.
• Engage in configuration, testing, and release processes.
• Ensure robust unit and integration test coverage.
• Contribute to design and specification phases.
• Research and keep up to date with new technologies and industry trends.

Core Skills and Experience:

• Strong Java programming skills.
• Experience with database development.
• Knowledge of XML or JSON.
• Web Development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with design patterns and unit testing frameworks.
• Effective teamworking abilities.
• Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
While not essential, experience with the following technologies would be a plus:

• Working with databases such as MariaDB/MySQL, MSSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience in Frontend Web Development (React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Familiarity with J2EE containers (e.g., Tomcat).
• Knowledge of container tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Cloud Services like AWS or Azure.
• Experience using version control systems such as Subversion or Git.
• Understanding of SOA and Web Services.
• Familiarity with XML to Java binding technologies like JAXB.
• Experience with J2EE application frameworks such as JSF, Spring, or Struts.
