Self Employed Van DrIver

Modern Edge Recruitment are actively looking for Self Employed Van Drivers in the PO6 Area of Portsmouth.

Pay Rate - 130 per day
Work Monday to Saturday
Need to be currently set up as a sole trader
Basic DBS Check is required (advantages if you already have one in date)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van for the purpose of delivering pharmaceutical goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policy.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Report any mechanical issues or concerns with the vehicle promptly.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
• A valid driving license is required, with no more than 6 points.
• Happy to load and unload vehicle daily.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• basic DBS required
