About the role:

Do you want to work in a role where you can shape projects and support community change? Join us as our Social Value Lead and influence how we invest in and support our communities.

You'll engage with colleagues, customer groups, stakeholders, and grant funders to ensure we're achieving the best outcomes for our communities, from securing social value through external contracts and supporting work experience opportunities, to encouraging colleague volunteering. You will also lead on raising awareness of social value and energy efficiency across our customer audience.

We're looking for someone who's ready to take ownership of this role and make it their own. You'll bring fresh ideas, curiosity, and the drive to seek out opportunities that will help us deliver even greater outcomes for our customers and communities. You'll be comfortable working proactively and using your initiative to turn plans into action, helping us to grow and strengthen our approach to social value.

As part of the role, you'll:

  • Develop a social value framework to ensure all parts of Leeds Federated contribute meaningfully
  • Maximise investment in community projects through contracts, partnerships, and internal resources
  • Work with colleagues to develop measures that demonstrate the positive outcomes we are achieving for our customers and communities
  • Draft and collate information to coordinate the production of the annual ESG report
  • Promote energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives to customers, including running workshops and awareness campaigns
  • Collaborate with local organisations to support training, work experience, and other opportunities for residents
  • Collect and report on social value outcomes to demonstrate the impact of our work
  • Engage with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to find new opportunities that meet community needs

About you:

  • Experience of managing community initiatives and projects
  • Experience or strong interest in social value, community engagement, and/or sustainability
  • Experience of working in a customer facing service role
  • A clear communicator, able to engage effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Understand the importance of social value in housing and community contexts
  • Enthusiastic and motivated, with the confidence to take ownership of the role
  • A Level or equivalent level of education
