You will be joining an industry-leading main contractor based in Staffordshire operating across a multitude of different sectors, including the highways and water industries. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work, delivering projects valued up to £50m, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Staffordshire office, with the option for hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
Financial monitoring and reporting of contracts assignedPreparing accurate financial statements in respect of contracts assignedEnsuring proper administration of the contract requirements including all variations to the worksAssisting with commercial completion of the contracts including maintaining contemporary records for use in supporting claims, extensions of time and evaluation of variationsManaging the appointment and ongoing management of subcontractors including payment applications and final accountsEnsuring prompt submission of invoices and/or applications of payment to clients.
What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you must have:Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalentPrevious experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering industryStrong working knowledge of NEC form of contractExcellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skillsFull UK driving licence.
