Key Responsibilities of a HGV Technician
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing, and inspections
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on HGVs using the latest tools
- Work efficiently to manufacturers' timeframes and quality standards
- Support colleagues with complex technical issues as needed
- Document all work completed accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment
Skills and Qualifications for a HGV Technician
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience post-apprenticeship
- Previous work experience in a franchised dealership environment
Desirable
- HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
- IRTEC accreditation
