Nursery Manager

Location: Catford SE6

Salary: £40.000 per year

Hours: 8 hours shift Monday to Friday

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for a Nursery Manager who has an active and hands on approach to supporting staff and delivery of Learning, Development, and Care for children at the nursery.

We are a small nursery (home-like environment) with a full capacity of 16 to 20 children. so a nice small place to look after and work in.

As a Nursery Manager, you are to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery; effectively manage the day-to-day running of the nursery; deliver the highest standards of care and education.

  • Meeting the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements, Compliance with all regulatory requirements etc
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understands and, when necessary, follow Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Support the development of good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
  • .Nursery manager is in-charge of show arounds at the nursery and play a key role in marketing the Nursery to prospective parents, attend and participate in Open Day events, etc.

About You as our Nursery Manager:
The ideal candidate will:

  • Level 3 or above in Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Ofsted standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and children.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A passion for early years education and a genuine commitment to providing the best care for children.
  • Ability to manage budgets, financial records, and staffing schedules.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection policies, and health and safety regulations.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
