Central London

Permanent Basis - Can be PAYE or Self Employed UTR

Working Hours 08.00-17.30

Based in Central London Office with Visits to Site.

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to our talented team of surveyors, where you ll play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of managing costs across diverse construction and logistics projects valued up to £5 Million +. From initial inquiries to final accounts, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, adhering to statutory building regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee costs on multiple construction projects.
  • Conduct detailed cost analyses for construction and logistics work.
  • Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders and place subcontractor orders.
  • Produce financial reports and value completed works.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay updated on commercial, legal, and educational developments impacting the role.
  • Collaborate with Contract and Site Managers to ensure accurate staffing records.
  • Represent the company professionally in dealings with clients and consultants.

What We re Looking For

  • Ability to travel to project sites across London.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, ideally from a Logistics background.(Adavantagous)
  • Strong knowledge of statutory building regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT.
  • Proven experience negotiating contract terms with clients and contractors.
  • A track record of delivering cost-saving measures and meeting financial targets.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
