Are you a Senior Engineer seeking a position with a contractor who not only value their staff but also have a name for delivering quality builds?

My client is a well-established multi-disciplined construction company operating across Yorkshire, the Humber, and the North East, delivering exceptional builds ranging from small, medium and large scale up to £20m

Their diverse portfolio spans sectors including industrial, education, commercial, infrastructure, local authorities and highway schemes, procured through numerous prestigious frameworks and repeat business generated by a high emphasis on maintain strong client relations

The Senior Engineer requirement is due to continuous growth and a commitment to their existing client base, they are seeking the best management professionals in the market to add real value to the operations team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the site team and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Plan, monitor, and oversee the daily operations of the site, ensuring the project progresses in line with the project schedule and budget
  • Coordinate and manage sub-contractors, suppliers, and direct labour to achieve project milestones
  • Ensure that all work carried out meets quality standards and specifications, addressing any issues or deviations
  • Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Monitor and report on progress, productivity, costs, and any potential risks or issues affecting the project

What will you need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-disciplined construction company
  • A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and health & safety regulations
  • Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND, NVQ, or degree in construction/civil engineering preferred)
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential
  • Proven track record of delivering construction projects on time and within budget
