Production Operative

Location: Denton, M34
Working Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: £12.25

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team in manufacturing bespoke windows, including stained glass and leaded units. This is a hands-on role that offers a unique opportunity to learn a specialist trade from design to final product and start a rewarding new career in a growing industry.

This is a temp to perm position after 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings and production instructions.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials with precision using small hand tools.
• Assemble and fabricate window units to exact specifications.
• Work with stained glass and leaded components, including intricate detailing.
• Perform soldering work where required.
• Ensure all work is completed with 100% accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Collaborate with the design office and shop floor team to ensure smooth production flow.
• Participate in on-the-job training to learn the trade in full.

Requirements:

• Strong practical skills and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements accurately.
• Keen eye for detail and high standards of quality.
• Experience using hand tools; soldering experience is a bonus but not essential.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Previous manufacturing experience is desirable but not required full training will be provided.
