Are you a detail-driven engineer with a passion for designing complex, high-precision products? We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team and play a key role in developing cutting-edge products for demanding environments.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Deliver new product designs under the guidance of the Mechanical Team Leader
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings in SolidWorks to BS8888 standards
• Design and support PCB and electronics integration using Altium Designer
• Collaborate with electronics engineers to ensure smooth mechanical-electrical integration
• Manage your own projects to ensure timelines are met and design concessions are assessed and actioned
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team on shared design goals
• Prepare design documentation: specifications, manuals, costings, test procedures, and more
• Check and approve documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes
• Assist in assembling and testing prototypes

What You'll Bring:

• A 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong background in detailed product design
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience in using simulation tools like FEA, thermal, and vibration analysis
• Experience with precision engineering and the design of complex mechanisms
• Familiarity with PCB layout and electronics integration, preferably using Altium Designer
• Advantageous: Experience designing for defence or other high-performance sectors
