Location: Cyber Centre of Excellence, Maidenhead. On-site presence required at least 3 days a week.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects across systems engineering lifecycle-from requirements to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong Defence Technology background with proven experience managing complex technical projects in a structured environment.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain SC level security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across software, firmware, and hardware domains.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, procurement, and external partners.
• Ensure adherence to systems engineering processes in collaboration with Engineering Project Lead.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
• Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in project practices.
• Identify and develop opportunities for contract growth.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience managing projects in IT, engineering, or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle models.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience interfacing with government customers and managing contracts.
• Leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Proficiency with project management tools like MS Project, Jira, Confluence.
• Experience in shaping and delivering proposals for new or existing contracts.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM).
• Experience in defence, aerospace, or regulated industries.
• Experience managing projects involving software, firmware, hardware integration.
• Experience with physical production and product lifecycle support.

Due to the nature of our programs, candidates may need to obtain relevant security clearance or handle export-controlled material as per role requirements.
