Data Centre Electrical & Mechanical Engineer

We seek experienced shift engineers to support our team, contribute their skills, and drive our business forward. As a shift engineer, you will ensure smooth operation of our systems and equipment. We look for proactive, adaptable individuals with strong problem-solving skills and a background in engineering who are eager to make a significant impact.

What will you do?

  1. Facility Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure seamless operation through diligent maintenance practices.
  2. Site Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct inspections and monitor alarms to optimize performance.
  3. Preventative Maintenance: Oversee and perform preventative maintenance on infrastructure, managing vendor relationships and permits (UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, life safety systems; HV switching experience preferred).
  4. Repairs & Corrective Maintenance: Perform repairs to maintain uninterrupted service.
  5. Planned Maintenance: Prepare and execute scheduled maintenance activities.
  6. Documentation: Maintain logs, MOPs, and scripts.
  7. Incident Response: Assist in incident response and handle basic incidents independently.
  8. Work Requests & Installations: Complete work requests and circuit installations.
  9. Infrastructure Projects: Participate in projects to improve facilities.
  10. Works Projects: Execute site improvement projects.

Who are you?

  • Educational Background: ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Experience in data centers or critical environments is beneficial.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of critical infrastructure systems; HV switching experience preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, flexible, capable of working independently or in a team.
