Senior Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Birmigham - Tier 1 Contractor - Major Infrastructure Projects - Civils

You will be joining an industry-leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering major and complex infrastructure projects across the UK. This multi-accredited organisation has a robust project pipeline and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development, including chartership. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office with the option for hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing, assessing and negotiating contract documentation, valuations and variationsDeveloping detailed cost estimates, budgets and cash flow forecastsManaging subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiationsLiaising with site teams and procurement to deliver cost-effective solutionsMonitoring project progress and financial performanceIdentifying, assessing and mitigating commercial risks throughout the project lifecycleHandling claims management, dispute resolution and final accounts settlementsProviding support and mentoring junior members of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalentPrevious experience as a Senior/Quantity Surveyor in the Civil Engineering industry, ideally on major infrastructure projectsSound knowledge of NEC forms of contractStrong interpersonal and organisational skillsFull UK driving licence.
