Summary

We are looking for an Early Years Educator to work to support the learning of children in the early years classes at Harris Primary Academy Orpington , including undertaking occasional class cover as directed.


Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

  • In liaison with EYFS Lead and Teachers, supporting children's development in all aspects of the EYFS curriculum
  • Developing effective practice and ensuring high quality provision for all children
  • Supporting practitioners by monitoring and record children's progress and using information as a basis for planning and improving practice and provision
  • Working in partnership with parents, valuing and utilising theri contribution to support children's well-being, learning and development
  • Developing and improving the quality and effectiveness of the EYFS by working collaboratively with the EYFS Teachers and Phase Leader
  • Developing resources in the provision as necessary
  • Being a key person to a group of children and supporting transitions between Nursery and Reception and other settings
Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age, supporting learning
  • Experience of establishing good relationships with parents and families encouraging involvement in education
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to organise yourself
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team
  • The ability to undertake administrative tasks such as registers
  • The ability to relate well to children and adults including managing difficult or conflicting situations
  • Energy and enthusiasm to improve the learning of all children
