As Development Lead - Modern Foreign Languages, you'll work on the Training Programme to teach a subject-specific area of our secondary curriculum. Our secondary subjects for QTS are: English, Mathematics, Science, Design & Technology, Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish), Computing, Business, Music, History, Geography and Religious Education. Your responsibilities include: Delivering training to our teachers, largely online, to support their progress. Using your expertise as a teacher and subject specialist to contribute to our learning design across programmes. Working with a portfolio of trainees to develop their subject knowledge and subject-specific pedagogy. Collaborating with other support roles to see trainees grow into leaders committed to making a difference to educational inequality. Minimum Requirements: Experience of developing others within the context of your subject specialism. Subject matter expert with exemplary knowledge of the pedagogy underpinning your subject specialism. QTS (or equivalent) and experience as a school leader. Excellent knowledge of the Teachers' Standards (2012), the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Core Content Framework, and the Early Career Framework. Experience in developing, mentoring, and coaching inexperienced teachers within a training route for at least two years (e.g., PGCE, Schools Direct, Teach First).
