About the Role We're actively recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias at our Clay Cross site near Chesterfield. The focus of this role is to deliver a world-class service in a fast-paced environment to delight our customers and grow our business. The Engineering function is key to the success and continued improvement of our site operations. Within this role you'll be responsible for all mechanical fault diagnosis and rectification during your shift, working closely with your electrically biased shift partner on a variety of corrugated board production and conversion machines. You will also ensure all ancillary equipment and site facilities are operational and meet production requirements, liaising with days preventative maintenance team when you identify areas for asset improvement. You will be a responsible person for daily checks on the sites steam plant, ensuring we always remain complaint (training provided). We're looking for a candidate who has a genuine interest in people with well-developed listening and communication skills with a proactive approach and strong prioritisation skills. This role operates on a three-shift rota of days, afters and nights.
