Engaging with consultees and stakeholders. Developing outstanding reports - an ability to summarise and explain outcomes to non-technical audiences will be critical for this. Qualifications & Experience: Good knowledge of EIA practices and procedures and a solid understanding of environmental and sustainability principles and environmental technical specialisms. Experience across a range of project types, ideally within the energy, residential/mixed use/regeneration sector, as well as in other major infrastructure projects including rail/highways. Proven experience of managing and coordinating EIA screening and scoping activities and Environmental Statements including the technical review of specialist chapters. Practical working knowledge of the UK planning system and consenting process. Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills with experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure quality. Experience in multi-disciplinary co-ordination and leadership of projects, with good project management and technical skills. Experience in consulting and negotiating with planning authorities, regulators, and stakeholders. The ability to work as part of an established team, supervising members of staff as applicable. Commercial expertise, including forecasting, project management, and quality assurance. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with chartered status or working towards. A valid UK driving licence. Desired: Experience in the delivery of SEA and/or Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA) projects.
