SEN Teaching Assistant

Full Time

A warm and inclusive one-form entry primary school in Islington is looking for a dedicated full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with children who have EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) providing tailored, consistent support throughout the school day. You ll join our team that values high expectations, creativity, and collaboration across all areas of school life.

The Role:
  • Full-time, term-time role beginning September 2025

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs

  • Implement and adapt learning strategies to suit individual needs

  • Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO, and outside agencies

  • Support emotional regulation, communication, and access to learning

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has previous experience supporting children with EHCPs

  • Confident working with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language delays

  • Brings a calm, positive and proactive approach to behaviour support

  • Is a strong communicator and team player

  • Committed to inclusive practice and helping every child succeed
