Job Title: Site Installation Operative
Location: Clacton-on-Sea (with travel to sites required)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - approximately 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: 34,000 to 37,000 per annum (based on 216 hours/month)

We are recruiting for a Site Installation Operative to join a growing and innovative team based in Clacton-on-Sea. This role involves the safe and efficient installation of product at utilities and construction sites.

You will be working closely with a Site Manager and follow agreed specifications and methods, ensuring high-quality and timely project delivery. The position requires a proactive and responsible individual who values safety, takes pride in their work, and is committed to learning and development.

Key Responsibilities of the Site Installation Operative:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials for installation
  • Install of bespoke components
  • Work under the guidance of a Site Supervisor or Manager
  • Ensure all installations meet safety and quality standards
  • Use tools correctly and safely
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Carry out equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Identify and report issues or defects promptly
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE

Skills and Experience of the Site Installation Operative:

  • Basic Building and Construction or site installation experience preferred
  • Ability to understand drawings is preferred
  • Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible and reliable attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to travel and stay away during the week for certain projects
  • Valid CSCS card and/or relevant site accreditation (PASMA, IPAF, Harness) desirable
  • A full UK driving licence is required
