Your role

Are you an engineer looking to gain product exposure? Are you excited about driving and delivering change that will positively impact how developers in Group Technology work? Are you eager to develop your entrepreneurial and leadership skills?

We seek a pragmatic self-starter to enhance our reference container images, define, and implement a Container Images Lifecycle process and tooling.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing guidance on container technology processes, tools, and supply chain
• Owning the reference base container images and related tooling
• Implementing a container images lifecycle and supporting services
• Identifying friction points, gaps, and inefficiencies for backlog prioritization
• Collaborating across the organization to optimize processes and information flow
• Engaging with the technical community across the bank via social channels

Your team

You will join our GCTO Core Platform Engineering group in Pune, working with a global team across Tokyo, London, Singapore, and other locations. Our goal is to transform the developer experience, align tools and processes with our Cloud adoption strategy, and position UBS as a top employer for technical talent in the Financial Services industry.

Your expertise

• Ideally 4+ years of experience as a software developer or dev-ops engineer
• Strong understanding of container technologies and use cases
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Public speaking and presentation skills are advantageous
• Experience with Azure and AKS is highly desirable
