The Role
We are looking for an international policy adviser to join our team to support solicitors of England and Wales and UK law firms in growing their global footprint, with a specific focus on Europe and the CIS region.
This is a multifaceted role covering influencing, campaigning, technical analysis, relationship management and international policy development. As a Policy Adviser, you will work closely with senior members of the legal profession on a daily basis to improve market access, promote the solicitor brand, the benefits of using English and Welsh law, and England and Wales as a global legal centre, to an international audience.
Reporting to the International Policy Manager, your work will include engaging with business, regulators and governmental/non-governmental organisations in the UK and overseas in order to grow subject-matter expertise and lobby on market access issues, international trade policy and trade promotion for legal services.
