About the Role

As Head of Procurement, you will lead and develop our procurement function across all areas of the University. You will be responsible for implementing best practices, ensuring value for money, and embedding high-quality, sustainable procurement processes across categories such as technology, facilities, and professional services. You'll collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to develop a procurement strategy aligned with the University's broader goals, including our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

What You'll Do:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the University's priorities.
2. Lead the execution of a university-wide procurement plan, utilizing various sourcing approaches to meet diverse needs.
3. Build and maintain a robust database of third-party supply contracts.
4. Strengthen procurement governance by enhancing policies, sourcing practices, and supplier relationships.
5. Work with Finance and other stakeholders to provide training and support throughout the procurement process.
6. Monitor market trends and procurement best practices to keep BIMM's processes current and effective.
7. Support the University's ESG initiatives by promoting sustainable and ethical procurement practices.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience managing the full procurement lifecycle across various categories and sourcing methods.
• Strong knowledge of procurement strategy, compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of building trust and credibility at all levels.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in developing and embedding procurement processes and tools.
