Responsibilities: Develop and execute trading strategies to maximise profitability and market share for strip mill and coil products. Identify and analyze market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and pricing factors to make informed trading decisions. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers and customers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply chain. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers and customers, while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels and minimize financial risk. Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of trades and timely delivery of products. Stay updated with industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging market trends to identify new business opportunities. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and building long-lasting relationships with clients. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. Additional certifications or qualifications in steel trading would be advantageous. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Steel Trader, with a strong focus on strip mill and coil products. Proven track record of successfully executing trades and achieving sales targets in the steel industry. In-depth knowledge of international steel markets, pricing mechanisms, and supply chain dynamics related to strip mill and coil products. Strong analytical skills to evaluate market data and make informed trading decisions. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing market conditions. Proficiency in using trading platforms, market analysis tools, and MS Office Suite. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
