Key Responsibilities: - Work in agile teams delivering proof of concepts directly with the business. - Build state of the art machine learning models and data visualizations. - Interpret and effectively communicate insights to the business and senior executives. - Advise on appropriate technical solutions to business problems. - Provide a critical review of potential solutions from team members and analytics partners. - Provide direction and guidance to more junior members of the team. - Take ownership of domain areas or methodologies for the data science team. - Mentor more junior members of the team. - Ensure the data science team are using state of the art techniques. - Support the ongoing development of the Advanced Analytics team's capabilities and strategy. What do I need? - Extensive experience applying data science / machine learning / AI to solve business problems. - Experience working with state of the art data science, modelling & visualization techniques. - Experience working with complex datasets. - Experience managing senior stakeholders andexecutive communication. - Broad and deep knowledge in data science, machine learning & artificial intelligence. - Essential Functional / Technical Skills. - Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative discipline. - Master's degree or PhD in a related subject such as Data Science or Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent knowledge developed through training or professional experience. - Strong programming skills: Python (Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, Jupyter, etc...) advantageous Git - Azure or similar cloud experience including Azure ML Services or similar, Azure Data Factory, DataBricks.
