We're looking for a 3rd Line Engineer to join my clients growing team. You don't need to be a wizard, but you should be confident in setting up and maintaining cloud infrastructure, undertaking migrations, and acting as the go-to person for cloud-related queries. This is a hands-on technical role that also offers the opportunity to influence best practices and mentor junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure (primarily Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365).
- Lead or support migration projects, including on-prem to cloud transitions.
- Provide 3rd line support across all core IT areas (networking, servers, storage, security, and desktop environments).
- Act as the escalation point for cloud and infrastructure-related issues.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Solid experience in Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) - deployment, configuration, and management.
- Demonstrated experience in 3rd line support across a variety of IT systems.
- Experience with server, network, and storage technologies.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable working directly with clients.
- Experience in an MSP environment is highly desirable.
Desirable (Not Essential):
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools
- Familiarity with RMM tools and IT documentation platforms
