Overview

• GI Pro are recruiting for a Pipe Fitter for a world leading company in steel, steel and automotive sector
• Working a day shift Monday - Thursday 07:00-15:30 Friday 07:00-14:00
• Paying between 15- 16/ph depending on experience
• Overtime is available at enhanced rates of 1,5x
• This is a full-time temporary-to-permanent role with immediate starts

The company - Supplier to the aerospace, steel and automotive

The role:

• Interpreting and working from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine pipe layout and installation plans
• Measure, cut thread and bend pipes using hand and power tools such as pipe threaders, cutters, and benders
• Assemble and install piping systems, including valves, supports and hydraulic or pneumatic components
• Perform TIG and ARC welding to join pipes and fittings when required
• Conduct pressure and leak tests using hydrostatic or pneumatic testing equipment
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and automation technicians to integrate piping with machinery
• Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes and company protocols

Candidate attributes

• You will have experience with pipe threaders, cutters, and benders, as well as TIG, MIG and ARC welding
• You must be able to pressure test gauges
