A high-performing secondary school in Cheltenham is seeking a talented Chemistry ECT to join their science department in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for a Chemistry specialist completing their training this year.

As a Chemistry ECT, you will:

Deliver exciting and structured Chemistry lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach KS5

Develop student confidence in practical work, investigations, and scientific thinking

Plan lessons that challenge and support a wide range of learners

Participate in Science Week, enrichment clubs, and STEM events

Receive regular, high-quality mentoring from experienced science staff

Engage with CPD sessions tailored to your early career development

Be supported with a structured and proven induction programme

Contribute to a culture of curiosity, respect, and achievement in the Science department
Ideal Chemistry ECT candidates will:

Hold a Chemistry or related degree and be on track to achieve QTS

Be passionate about sharing knowledge and making Chemistry accessible

Be enthusiastic, reflective, and willing to engage in school life
