Position: Machine Shop Operative Location: Thame Permanent Shifts: Early shift 6:00am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00am to 11:00am on Friday's. Salary 24,743 Job Spec: Proactive are currently recruiting for a machine shop operative to work in Thame. You will be required to provide a highly flexible response to variations in demand with minimum supervision, carrying out production activities relating to the manufacture of components and assembly of product. All successful candidates will be required to use hand tools, follow written instructions, and stand at a work bench throughout the day. Duties will include: Operation of various machines including drills, routers, presses and Hurco CNCs Liaise with Team Leaders and ensure stock levels are kept up to date. Alert the Production Manager or other appropriate staff of any plant or equipment maintenance issues. Offer suggestions to the Team Leader/Line Manager that will improve the efficiency and safety of production areas and equipment. Raise awareness of manufacturing problems with the Production Manager and work with others to find and effectively implement solutions.
