An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strategic and systems-focused Group Finance and Systems Manager.
to join a growing dynamic finance team, based in Newcastle.This is a pivotal role within Group Finance and the wider business, responsible for leading the optimisation of financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and IT to drive innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence.Your new role

Leading the design and execution of the Group's finance systems strategyCollaborating with Finance and IT teams to implement automation and financial software solutionsIdentifying and delivering improvements to financial processes, systems, and workflowsManaging finance system access, controls, and audit requirementsSupporting training and embedding best practices across finance teamsLeading post-acquisition systems integration and supporting strategic projectsDriving improvements in reporting cycles and financial control frameworksManaging relationships with software suppliers and consultantsLiaising with external auditors and supporting audit processesWhat you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in developing and managing financial systemsStrong knowledge of finance-related systems and general ledger platformsDemonstrated leadership in systems development and change programmesStrong analytical and data reporting skillsAbility to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAdvanced MS Excel skillsExperience in implementing or monitoring financial control frameworksWhat you'll get in return
