The hospital, together with the nearby John Radcliffe Hospital, is a major centre for healthcare research, housing departments of Oxford University Medical School and Oxford Brookes University's School of Healthcare Studies. It incorporates the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM) - a collaboration between the University of Oxford, the NHS and three partner companies - which is a world-class centre for clinical research on diabetes, endocrine and metabolic disorders, along with clinical treatment and education. Oxford is a fun and vibrant city to both live and work in, opportunities for research and there are robotics within the Pharmacy lab. RESPONSIBLE FOR: Dispensary experience, labelling, dispensing, counselling patients, stock control and answering the phone. Working with scheduled patients list each day ensuring prescriptions are dispensed in advance of patients' treatment date and have a working knowledge of the cancer computerised prescription system (ARIA) and how to add notes. Ensuring the delivery of the medications to the outpatient departments of the Oxford Cancer Centre in a timely manner and to be involved in the return of goods from the Oxford Cancer Centre, including entering it into the pharmacy computer system. Using the pharmacy computer system to produce dispensing labels and to issue stock and to support general dispensing. Contributing to the development of Standard Operating Procedures, to take an active part in Departmental Audits and to perform regular stock checks and expiry date checking. To be successful in applying for this role you will need: To be a Qualified pharmacy assistant (NVQ level 2) for Band 3; ACT Accreditation is desirable but not essential for Band 4. Hold NVQ level 2 & 3 as a Band 3. Registered with GPhC as a Band 4. Candidates who can work only 2 days to be considered; role is solely Dispensary-based. Who are NHS Professionals?
