Overview

My client is looking for a Passionate H&S manager to help drive and improve the H&S culture across the business. You will be reporting directly to the board of Directors and be trusted to deliver H&S companywide.

They design and deliver inspiring commercial workspaces through high-quality fit-out projects across the UK. They have a reputation for outstanding work, and are looking for a driven, detail-focused Senior Health & Safety Advisor to step-up and help ensure their projects remain compliant, safe, and well-managed from start to finish.

As Senior Health & Safety Advisor/Manager, you ll be responsible for managing and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all projects and their office environment. You ll work closely with project teams to uphold their 45001 certifications, ensure CDM compliance, and carry out regular audits.

Title: H&S Manager

Salary: £40k - £50k

Location: Manchester

Start date: asap

Working Location: Northwest majority, expanding into other regions such as Yorkshire & Northeast

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on all Health & Safety matters across projects and our head office
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections
  • Maintain ISO 45001 accreditation and documentation
  • Develop and manage Construction Phase Plans and H&S files
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to promote best practice
  • Provide H&S input for the preparation of O&M manuals post-project

Requirements

  • Strong experience in the construction or commercial fit-out sector
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and H&S legislation
  • Proven experience managing ISO 45001 certification
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively across teams and with contractors
  • NEBOSH or equivalent qualification
  • IOSH (Preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites
