A dynamic and award-winning architectural practice is seeking a highly capable Job Runner, either a qualified Architect (ARB/RIBA) or Architectural Technologist (MCIAT), to lead the delivery of a wide range of UK-based projects. This senior-level role requires substantial experience managing projects through all RIBA stages, with a strong focus on technical design, team leadership, and client liaison. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating internal resources, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring high standards of design and technical quality. Daily Duties:
- Lead projects from concept through to completion in line with internal IMS procedures
- Coordinate and manage architectural and technical teams, ensuring timely release of design information
- Act as the primary client contact, managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource planning, ensuring commercial viability
- Ensure project documentation and deliverables are produced to the highest quality and in compliance with UK regulations
- Mentor and support junior team members through structured reviews and ongoing feedback
- Contribute to monthly performance reporting including revenue, cost, and quality metrics
- Promote sustainable design practices and stay current with emerging technologies and regulations
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Architect (ARB registered) or Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT)
- Substantial years' experience, including UK-based project running
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy, and contract administration
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (additional presentation software desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
- Commercially aware, with experience managing project finances and timelines
- Passionate about design quality, technical excellence, and professional development
