Job Title: EUC Engineer Location: Leicester (5 days a week on site) About the Role: My client is seeking a skilled and proactive EUC Engineer to join their team, providing second-line IT support and ensuring our technology meets the ever-expanding needs of our business. Your expertise in the deployed technology will be critical in resolving hardware and software issues on PCs, laptops, mobile phones, and desktop telephony, all within agreed KPIs/SLAs. You will also drive customer satisfaction by delivering technology solutions to agreed standards, including security policies. Key Responsibilities: Incident Resolution (50%) : Resolve all tickets and incidents within agreed SLAs and Customer Service targets, focusing on root causes to minimise outages. Process Improvement (30%) : Contribute to the enhancement of the production environment through automation and process improvement to reduce incidents and requests. Technology Solutions (15%) : Deliver technology solutions to agreed standards, ensuring compliance with security policies and driving customer satisfaction. Continuous Learning (5%) : Stay updated on EUC hardware, software, and simple desktop applications, particularly the M365 suite and hardware standards. Key Contacts & Relationships: Internal: EUC Leadership, Technology Operations Director, Infrastructure & Security teams, Other EUC Engineers External: Partners/Suppliers, End Users Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in building and managing live production systems. Minimum of 2 years of experience with End User Compute devices and technologies, specifically the Microsoft suite of products. Knowledge of image deployment and maintenance. Experience supporting office-based and mobile users. Excellent knowledge of PCs, laptops, and peripherals, including internal components. Experience with printers, scanners, and other peripherals. Knowledge of mobile technologies (e.g., Smartphones - Android and Apple, Tablets). Familiarity with PGP and BitLocker Encryption software. Understanding of Adaptive Technology. Experience with network hardware setup and configuration. Understanding of continuous integration and delivery. Familiarity with Agile delivery methods. Individual Competencies: Proactive, methodical, and thorough approach to operations management. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels. Ability to work independently to meet objectives and SLAs. Customer and user-focused, with the ability to manage user expectations across Business Divisions. An experienced infrastructure team are recruiting a principal go to tech lead SME to mentor an existing engineering team and support the Cloud Infrastructure Manager with strategy and MSP assurance.
