We re looking for a Construction Category Manager to lead strategic procurement activity across a range of areas within the Engineering & Construction sector.

As a core member of the Engineering & Construction category team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of category strategies that align with wider business goals. Your work will directly influence strategic decision-making, maximise value creation, and deliver cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full category lifecycle from strategy development through to implementation and review.

  • Work collaboratively with Sourcing, Contract Management, and Commercial teams to ensure category strategies are aligned and effectively executed.

  • Ensure all procurement activity complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Use best-practice procurement tools, techniques, and processes to deliver category value and performance.

  • Drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the category.

About You:
  • Proven experience in construction or capital procurement, ideally within a regulated environment.

  • Relevant qualifications such as CIPS or a bachelor s degree in business, procurement, or a related field.

  • Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Confident communicator with the soft skills to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

  • Passion for professional development, with a desire to grow your skills and capabilities.
