As Senior Climate and Resilience consultant you will work with a range of clients from government and the food supply chain to support in increasing climate resilience and understanding climate risk in agricultural food supply chains, as well as supporting projects across other sectors including public sector bodies. Work will aim to support clients from public and private sectors with climate change risk assessments, TCFD/ISSB reporting and development of transition plans. Suitable candidates will be required to deliver and develop consultancy solutions to a range of different clients from both public and private sectors. The focus is on desk-based modelling and reporting, working with stakeholders, advisers, supply chain actors and government. The role requires practical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate well with a range of different stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop tools to collect, analyse and interpret business data to support reporting into Climate Change Risk and Vulnerability Assessments. Provide consultancy input into projects linked to climate resilience, adaptation and mitigation within agriculture and wider land-based sectors. Role overview Fresha is seeking an experienced Principal Frontend Engineer who can lead the frontend guild, provide mentorship and vision for our frontend engineers, and drive the overall quality and productivity across the entire organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience with building SPAs at scale, ideally both consumer-facing and business-facing, ensuring that large numbers of teams can work on the same codebase & product without much friction. Both are written in React and use Redux. We are in the process of phasing out Redux in our B2C app in favor of hooks We use Typescript for everything, including API contracts (which are auto-generated) We use our own engine for SSR for our two main SPAs, with a few smaller ones in Remix We have a team in the platform tribe dedicated to maintaining and improving our frontend architecture & tooling, which you'll be responsible for This list is not exhaustive and there may be other activities you are required to deliver. What we are looking for Experience - 10+ years of professional experience writing SPAs applications in Javascript, experience with Typescript React - Strong experience with React including current trends Iteration - Value simplicity and speed of iteration over complex design and scalability Collaboration - Experience building websites developed by a large (>3) number of teams Optimisation - Experience with web app performance, monitoring, and optimisation Scalability - Experience with web architecture at scale (20krpm and above) APIs - Experience with NodeJS & building web APIs Frameworks - Experience with frameworks such as Gatsby, NextJS, Remix Tooling - Experience with frontend tooling & building pipelines in modern CI platforms.
