Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of suppliers, sourcing new products and suppliers, reducing costs ensuring KPI targets are met, inline with company targets. About the role: As Category Buyer, your duties will include: Reduce costs year-on-year based on set performance metrics. Achieve the best possible total acquisition cost. Develop and implement overarching commodity strategies. Collaborate with existing and new suppliers on key strategic projects. Find and approve new suppliers. Develop new products by working closely with quality assurance and assisting with initial sample inspections. Partner with suppliers to implement lean manufacturing principles.
