The candidate will join a faculty of 22 consultants working across our 2 Hospitals; Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital. The post would be based predominantly at West Middlesex Hospital, with the potential to collaborate closely with colleagues at Chelsea in line with the visions of the department. The appointed individuals are expected to uphold the Trust values to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care to patients with liver disease. The appointee must be a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent and would be expected to have completed higher specialist training or equivalent in Gastroenterology. The candidate will join a faculty of 22 consultants working across our 2 Hospitals; Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital. The post would be based predominantly at West Middlesex Hospital, with the potential to collaborate closely with colleagues at Chelsea in line with the visions of the department. The appointed individuals are expected to uphold the Trust values to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care to patients with liver disease. The appointee must be a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent and would be expected to have completed higher specialist training or equivalent in Gastroenterology. It is highly desirable that the appointee holds a higher medical degree (i.e. MD or PhD). Applicants must be on the Specialist Register (for Gastroenterology) or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK. Main duties of the job The appointee will work under the terms and conditions of the new consultant contract. The post holder will be encouraged and supported to continue to develop specialist interests that synchronise with the departmental service.
