Vacancy for Conservator, Time-based Media at Tate Vacancy for Conservator, Time-based Media at Tate 6 November 2022 London Fixed Term This is a new opportunity to work as a time-based media conservator. This role is part of dedicated project to realise the acquisition of a large gift of artworks to Tate. This role will deliver the acquisition of new artworks into Tate's collection, working within a team of conservators and technicians. This role will require the understanding of individual artworks, their needs for acquisition, production techniques, display requirements and the risks for long term preservation. The role will also require undertaking collection care and preventive conservation activity and as such the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of strategies, procedures and workflows for the preservation of artworks. You will either hold a recognised qualification in conservation or have equivalent relevant experience for working with time-based media artworks. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of the issues associated with time-based media artworks and equipment. It is also desirable to understand the emerging themes and challenges within the discipline of time-based media conservation. You will need to be able to work independently on the examination, processing, and treatment of time-based media artworks. This includes documentation of the artworks and associated equipment. You will also need to communicate effectively and provide specialist advice to a range of stakeholders. This requires effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. You will need to demonstrate effective organisational, time management and planning skills. The Graphic Designer role : This is a fantastic opportunity for a vibrant graphic designer, who has previous experience working within the fashion industry, designing brand marketing material across a multitude of channels. The role is in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing and evolving. Key Roles: + Brand Assets - Design assets for mobile, desktop, email, digital ads, printed collateral and any other assets to be viewed by consumers across all channels. + Collaboration Presentations - Create compelling brand pitches for target collaborations while constantly looking to improve the format of the pitch. + 3D Trainer Mocks - Collaborate with the internal teams & external talent in creating 3D mock ups of new trainers to be sampled. + Collection Design - Collaborate with the internal marketing team in suggesting new trainer designs on a seasonal basis. + Paid Assets - Create internally and collaborate with external designers in creating paid social ads, based on new content. + Web Design - Design partnership pages on our website in support of upcoming launches, review Hot Jar data, and improve page layouts.
